Pre Wetherby

Lots of trotting and cantering to start the horses off for the week, and some schooling for a couple who are due to run. These included The Cobbler Swayne, Tap Night, Sammy B and Gaye Flier.

The Cobbler Swayne and Rising Marienbard left for Wetherby this afternoon as there are is a pretty bad weather forecast for tomorrow morning.

The Cobbler Swayne looks to be coming back to form at home and loved his jumping this morning. He is a horse who prefers to bounce off good ground, and although he has won on heavy the sounder surface tomorrow should suit him.

Rising Marienbard has strengthened and matured since Rosemary, Scu and Tom bought him last spring. He is now a strong type and while he will benefit for tomorrow's experience he looks to have scope to be a decent chaser in time.

Pictured is Scu waiting for the horses to come down the gallops before schooling.
